Job Description
JaRco Consulting seeks to form a pool of monitoring and evaluation experts to engage on a short-term consultancy basis for projects matching their portfolio. Consultants must have a minimum of 10 years experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research in one of the following areas: Food Security, Nutrition and/or Public Health. In the Public Health sphere the assignments will pertain specifically to projects on sexual and reproductive health, family planning, maternal & new born child health.
The purpose of the assignments would be to support the implementation of large-scale Food Security, Nutrition, and Public Health project evaluations in various regions of Ethiopia and other sub-Saharan African countries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a thorough desk review (secondary quantitative and qualitative documents & data)
- Develop and provide technical input in building evaluation tools
- Provide local and international context in one of the following: Food Security, Nutrition & or Public Health
- Support the data collection efforts in the target areas
- Contribute to a rigorous dissemination of data analysis and report writing
- Represent the company in meetings
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience conducting monitoring and evaluation studies in one of the following areas: Food Security, Nutrition and/or Public Health
- Masters level or higher in nutrition, food security, health or related fields. MPH required for candidates applying as a Public Health M & E expert.
- International experience highly preferred as well as familiarity with local context (Female candidates highly encouraged to apply)
- Travel flexibility to different regions and countries
- Native English speaker and/or Excellent command in English (spoken and written)
