Competencies

Professionalism: Extensive knowledge of logistics and fleet management and control guidelines, directives, and procedures. Ability to develop, maintain and operate logistical and fleet management control systems. Ability to deliver outputs for which one has responsibilities within prescribed time, cost and quality standards in compliance with organizational regulations and rules. Ability to apply knowledge of various United Nations administrative, financial and human resources rules and regulation in work situation.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have passed the United Nations Administrative Support Assessment Test (ASAT) for internal applicants or the Global General Service Test (GGST) administered by Headquarters. Additional studies in management such as training in logistics and fleet management is desirable. Strong database management skill is also desirable.

Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in the area of transport or logistics is required.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
