JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Manager will have full oversight of the financial management and operational aspects of the project in accordance with donor regulations, including the elaboration of accounting features. S/he will be responsible to present the financial expenditures and pipeline and interface with the community at social audit events. S/he will be responsible for budget forecasting, expenditure tracking, and financial analysis, s well as grant and contract management and financial reporting. This position will be based in Addis Ababa.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree required with Business or Publication Administration and a focus on Accounting / Finance.
- At least ten years of financial management experience in programs that are of a similar scope and scale to this program, including working effectively with host government officials, donor partners, and social audits is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management of multi-sectoral programs that include infrastructure development.
- Proven leadership qualities required
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal and organization skills
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience using accountability and accounting practices
- Knowledge of DFAP and other donor assistance policies and reporting requirements
- The candidate must be professionally proficient and fluent in written and spoken English and Amharic is highly preferred.
- Based in Addis Ababa, with frequent travel in project areas.
- Experience in Ethiopia required.
