CIFA is an international NGO operating in Ethiopia since 2007 with focus on child protection and women economic empowerment.

Project duration: 10 months

Job contract duration: 9 months renewable

Terms of Reference

The project is focused on job creation and awareness raising in order to prevent the illegal migration in the Woreda of Ambassel, Tehuledere and Worebabo, South Wollo.

The role

The social worker will be in charge of supporting awareness creation and sensitization activities related to the illegal migration risks. The intervention will apply Social and Community Theatre (SCT) methodologies. The social worker will collaborate closely with 2 Italian experts.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the SCT experts and the Local Coordinator in planning the implementation of the activities according to the project timeframe


• Facilitating the SCT experts in the relationships with community members


• Supporting the organization of sensitization activities and events


• Data collection by interviews and questionnaires and timely reporting

Requirements:

• Social Sciences Degree


• At least 3 years experience in relevant field, preferably previous experience in Social and Community Theatre methodologies


• Previous experience in development projects with vulnerable people


• Skills on sensitization campaigns


• Knowledge on gender and illegal migration themes


• Excellent knowledge of written and oral English is mandatory (knowledge of the language will be subject to a verification test).

Salary: The salary will be commensurate with the experience of the selected candidate and according to the organization salary scale.
