Huawei Technologies Ethiopia engaged in the entire network construction of Ethio Telecom including GSM CDMA Fixed Network in order to provide better services to Ethiopia Telecom and contribute more to the success of GTP2.

1. Name of the vacancy: BSS Maintenance Engineer
Required number: 1
Major duties and responsibilities:
1. Maintain Business Support System, including trouble ticket, system routine check, configuration, system updating & upgrading, etc.
2. Participate in the planning, coordination, and implementation scheduled system releases
3. Install, configure, maintain and support BSS environments to ensure it provides the defined functionality, performance and reliability requirements
Required Skill and Qualification;
- Bachelor degree or above.
- Familiar with UNIX/LINUX OS, familiar with Oracle Database, knowing Network design and configuration. Experience on IBM/BladeCenter is preferred.
- Familiar with software programming, Shell programming is preferred.
- 4+ years relevant working experience, similar field working experience is preferred.
- Have the basic knowledge of telecommunication principle and structure.
- Good at English speaking and writing.
- Good communication and coordination ability. Good team work spirit.

1. Technical support engineer for access provides technical service and support to new and existing customer access networks, and troubleshoots and resolves problems in order to stabilize and optimize access networks. Configures and integrates solutions in new and live customer networks.
2. All activities should be in accordance to customer contract. Your work scope will require a broad knowledge within telecom, access, covering both hardware, software and network knowledge, expected to work, cooperate and communicate in an international environment, both with colleagues internally as well as customers. You should be available to work independently, and also have a good team spirit.

Familiar with access network equipment (DSLAM, OLT, Lan Switch, Router). Good knowledge in the fields of xDSL/FTTX/GPON/ODN/OSS/TCP-IP is preferred. CCNA, CCNP Certification is preferred.

1. Perform, as Sr. Design/Field Engineer in the area of Microwave Transmission Networks.
2. Microwave design in the 6GHz, 11 GHz, 18 GHz, 23 GHz and 38 GHz frequency spectrum using Path loss (or else) design tools used for terrain and Fresnel analysis of prospective sites.
3. Field engineering surveys and LOS verification to confirm viability of prospective selected locations
4. Sites candidate recons, evaluation, approvals, and auditing to determine suitability and availability for collocation etc.
5. Provision of technical support for zoning hearings and inter-modulation studies when required or necessary
6. Inspection, evaluation and approval of engineering and construction drawings to confirm they meet specifications and design requirements.
7. Design and develop test plans and test cases for Microwave Transmission Networks.
8. Provides network deployment and support for Huawei customers and third party suppliers on deployment projects and programs.
Required Skill and Qualification;
- Bsc degree in Electrical, Telecom Engineering and Computer science, or other related field.

1. The RE Network Engineer performs design, optimization and audit of a network to meet the customer requirements. The RE Network Engineer role is applicable for design & optimization of Radio/RAN, CM and Services Networks. The RF Network Engineer can be engaged in the whole process from pre-sales of services and networks to service delivery and acceptance.
2. The role is focused on executing design, audit and optimization services, where the RE network engineer is responsible for part of the solution and part of the service process.
