Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa which is centrally located in Kazanchis Business District adjacent to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa conference hall (UNECA-AA) and just eight kilometres from Bole International Airport would like to announce the following open positions. The Hotel has 204 rooms including 16 luxury suites, ultra-modern rooms, a superb wellness centre, a world-class restaurant brasserie de ‘VerresenVers’ and a well-equipped business centre. Moreover, the hotel will offer one of the best conference and events facilities in East Africa with 9 meeting rooms.

Job Description

• To study and know all mechanical installations and their respective piping, ducting, controls, safety and measuring equipment, including but not limited to Water supply and wells, tanks, pressure and circulating pumps, boilers, chillers, HVAC system and all its elements, sewer and storm water discharge, mechanical side of kitchen, laundry, gym, elevators and the like equipment and installations.


• To be completely familiar with all various preventive maintenance schedules and perform all required preventive or corrective maintenance activities to all mechanical equipment, in strict compliance to all applicable standards and policies.


• To ensure that all mechanical equipment are maintained in good working order.


•  To ensure that all mechanical controls, valves and interconnections are kept in accurate functional stage.


• To maintain cleanliness in all mechanical rooms and areas


•  To work in a team with all other members and trades and create a spirit of cooperation and creative working relationships, mindful of religious, cultural and gender differences.


• To ensure that all tools and equipment are used carefully and kept in good order and functionality.


•  To ensure that all materials and consumables are used in a way to minimize wastage


• Ensure that all safety tools and protective equipment are used at all times as expected.


• Timely follow up on service requests received on a daily basis and bring to the attention of the Mechanical Supervisor, issues above own competence.


• Having good plumbing and pump related practical skill

Required Qualifications

• Diploma /certificate in Mechanical Engineering


• At least 2years relevant work experience in Mechanical areas


• Must have good command in English, written & spoken and good computer knowledge
