About Asella Flower Farm PLC

Floral Chain Group’s first flower farm in Ethiopia. Floral Chain is a group of cross-disciplined horticulture companies based in Ecuador. With proprietary Romance varieties, they are one of the leading suppliers of Hypericum in both quality and quantity.

Asella Flower Farm PLC is located in Wolliso with 12 hectares planted and a total land size of 20 hectares. The job posting of Field Supervisor will be at our Ethiopian farm in Wolliso, Obi Koji area.

Tasks and work description

• Manage cultivation of 6 hectares of flowers


• Work and plan according to production program prepared by Head Office


• Supervise Assistant Field Supervisors


• Plan weekly and daily activities according to production program and observed priority


• Ensure all daily cultivation activities are done according to plan


• Continuously increase productivity of team


• Control quality of all cultivation activities; execute several random checks per day for each activity


• Make sure jobs are done according to company’s safety standard


• Control plant health, investigate in case of defects and take appropriate measurements


• Ensure plants are well irrigated. Request Irrigation Supervisor for support in case of issues


• Ensure the field looks clean and organized


• Inform Post-harvest about the quality of harvested stems


• Control KPI’s from production reports and follow up


• Weekly estimate production forecast together with production team and advise on export planning

• Bachelor Degree in Plant Science or Horticulture


• 2 years’ experience
