The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) has been assisting the efforts of the Ethiopian Chamber System since 2005 through support for research, advocacy and policy dialogue, which, in turn, has resulted in improved policy, legal and institutional arrangements for private sector development and growth. A new programme of support is now underway that focuses on supporting ECCSA’s sustainability efforts.

Housed within ECCSA is a Programme Management Unit (the PSD Hub) through which Sida’s (and other donor support) is channelled. The Hub governed by an independent mufti-stakeholder board with a mandate from ECCSA to drive implementation of the Sida support programme. ECCSA is now looking for an experienced and competent Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to provide support in M& E work.

JOB TITLE: M&E Specialist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The overall focus of the M&E Specialist’s job is to work closely with the M&E team at ECCSA and build their capacity and confidence to be able to monitor and evaluate the progress and performance of its programmes to international standards; and report to management and donors.

Reporting to the PSD Hub Manager, the main duties of the M&E Specialist are as follows:

DUTY STATION: Addis Ababa

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The duration of the project is for five years. The initial contract Is for a period of one year with the possibility of an extension for subsequent years based on successful performance.
