Description:

SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia is a member of the International Federation of SOS Children’s Villages. It is a non-political, non-religious social development organization focused on the well-being and development of children. It was founded in 1974 and it is mainly involved in addressing the needs of children who are at risk of losing parental care and those without parental care through a structured family based care model, family strengthening programs, education and other social programs. Currently it has seven program locations and operates in Addis Ababa, Mekelle, Harar, Hawassa, Bahir Dar, Gode and Jimma.

SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia, therefore, wants to hire experienced and competent consulting firm/consultants to conduct project terminal evaluation.

General Objective:   

To carry out terminal evaluation of youth education program which has been implemented for three years in four program locations activities for organizational memories and lesson learning

Qualification and Experience of the Consultant

The evaluation team should possess higher educational qualification (MA, BA) in research, economics, social sciences preferably in education and 5 years relevant experience in project/program monitoring and evaluation or project managementAmple work experience in the management of community based education projects, international NGOs, monitoring ad evaluation, etcThe evaluation team is drawn from experts/professionals in the area of education, economics, sociology, social work and who have ample experience and expertise in the areas of child and community development. Experience in carrying out similar assignment is an asset.

Competent firm/consultant shall collect and prepare both technical and financial proposals for the bid and submit it to our office until 5:00 P.M of the closing date.
