• Record operational or production data on specified forms;


• Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation;


• Operate or tend machines to mix or blend chemicals and/or dyestuff;


• Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements;


• Determine the correct ratio of dye colors to the product and water;


• Determining dye recipes for different colors;


• Accurate and complete record keeping;


• Read work orders to determine production specifications or information;


• Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing;


• Clean and maintain equipment, according to safety standards;


• Test samples of materials or products to ensure compliance with specifications, using test equipment;


• Maintain and preserve stock of chemicals and dyestuff;


• Collect a sample of each batch or dye lot when the dyeing process is finished;


• Make notes about any adjustments to the dye recipe;


• Note abnormal reactions with a new kind of product and basic laboratory conditions, like ambient room temperature and water temperature.
