PATH Ethiopia Country Program seeks to contract a Data Analyst Consultant to support data entry and analysis for the planned end-line survey under its Digital Public Health Project. The Consultant will work closely with PATH Digital Public Health team and Data collectors who will be hired for the same service. The expected time required is approximately two weeks. The Consultant will be working 100% full time during the survey which is planned to take place during February and March 2015.

Summary of responsibilities
The data analyst will undertake data entry, data cleaning, compare data with source documents, and re-enter, import, and generate data with the purpose of helping decision making. The data analyst will present the data in tables, charts, and graphs.
Required Qualification and experience:
• Post graduate Degree in Public Health, Statistics, M&E, Health Informatics, Demography, or Economics
• At least 5 years of experience as Data Analyst in health related areas
• Knowledge of statistics and experience of using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (EPI lnfo/CSPro, SPSS, Excel, MS ACCESS, etc).
• Demonstrated proficiency in report writing
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional fluency in English
• Ability and willingness to travel outside of Addis Ababa
Required Skills:
• Ability to enter data accurately at a given speed
• Proven skill of using statistical packages such as EPI lnfo/CSPro, to enter data
• Ability to export data from EPI lnfo/CSPro to SPSS and analyze it
• Competent to compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered
• Proficient to locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors
• Ability to work with large amounts of data and need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions
• Ability to look at the numbers, trends, and data and able to identify new findings;
• Strong typing, analytical, and computer skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of Information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Have good experiences in quantitative research projects
• Data analyst will work closely with the DPH project staifto prioritize Information needs related to data analysis and reporting
Duration of Consultancy
The assignment will take two weeks for both the data entry and analysis.
