Jackson Global are working with an up and coming Power Generation company who have recently acquired a Large Geo-Thermal Power Plant in Africa, and are looking for an experienced CFO to be part of the Project.   The position is a senior leadership role reporting to the CEO and is based in Kenya. The job entails a punishing schedule for much that needs to be accomplished within compressed timelines.   Responsibilities of the role will include:   - Setup of the Project finance function from scratch including: - Procurement and installation of an ERP system and controls; - Setup of effective reporting structures; - Build-up of the finance management team; - Coordinating with debt and equity finance providers on due diligence, and the negotiations of financing documentation; - Working with project teams to ensure timely compliance with all conditions precedent and other obligations; - Preparing comprehensive financial models to deliver cash flow forecast, scenario analysis, risk assessment, return analysis; - Financial control over the overall project budget including coordinating the drawdown/repayment formalities for debt and equity facilities; - Working with project teams to monitor compliance with financing conditions and ensure timely payment to third party contractors subject to fulfilment of their contractual obligations, and; - Oversight of the administration functions covering IT, HR and office management   The successful applicant must:   - Have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or their equivalent from an internationally-recognized University; - Have a Professional qualification in Accounting from an internationally-recognized university body; - Have a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in Project Finance in a senior role - Have minimum 3 years’ experience leading the finance function of a reputable organization;   If you are interested in this excellent opportunity or other Energy Sector Jobs, apply now!
