Job Description
The Horn of Africa Regional Environment Centre & Network (HoA-REC&N) focuses on environmental concerns and sustainable development options within the Horn of Africa. Our center seeks candidates for the position of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer. Reporting to the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, the M&E Officer will be responsible for the following assignments:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Undertake routine project monitoring and activity follow-up.
• Project data collection, analysis and reporting, including documentation and sharing of findings.
• Works/assist in the preparation of project reports at different level
• Evaluates the extent to which projects are able to achieve their objectives and provide guide for project coordination.
• Assist programmes/projects in conducting various assessments, studies and researches;
• Support in the implementation result based monitoring and evaluation systems;
• Facilitate knowledge and experience sharing and institutional memory building.
• Undertakes other related duties as required.
Qualification: B.Sc. IBA in Statistics, Economics or related field with competent data base skills
Work Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
Skills:
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in database and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong statistical software skills; training in ICT is an advantage.
• Excellent command of the English language (oral and written) and report writing skills.
