Structural design and report production with due consideration of relevant codes, concepts and in-house standards Structural detailing and drawing of structural works Supporting structural design team in solving structural problems by doing overall conceptual assessment, detail design calculations, detailing and possibly author control supervision of construction execution. Applying different established and new engineering principles, codes, standards and software manuals as deemed necessary Following-up detail drafting Working closely with project leaders for the accomplishment of tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Structural design and report production with due consideration of relevant codes, concepts and in-house standardsStructural detailing and drawing of structural worksSupporting structural design team in solving structural problems by doing overall conceptual assessment, detail design calculations, detailing and possibly author control supervision of construction execution.Reading, understanding and applying different engineering principles, codes, standards and software manuals as deemed necessaryFollowing-up detail draftingWorking closely with project leaders for the accomplishment of tasks.
Qualification and Profile:
M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experienceWillingness to work on structural design is requiredWell versed in the use of MS Office, MS Windows, the internet(for browsing and e-mails), one structural application software and one drafting softwareWell versed in the use of building code standards (like EBCS 1,2,3,4,5,7 &8) and/or bridge design manual(like ERA’s Bridge Design Manual)Geotechnical investigation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
