Specific Duties and Responsibilities
· Serve as in-house technical expert on innovative, evidence based and impact driven social behavior change communication approaches to promote healthy behaviors.
· Lead MULU Worksites social behavior change communications (SBCC) programming with a particular emphasis on health peer education.
· Lead the planning, design, production and distribution of social behavior change communications related materials in response to MULU/Worksite’s program needs.
· Lead and coordinate the design, production and distribution of MULU/Worksite’s quarterly newsletter,
· Lead the development of minimum package of peer led small group intervention in collaboration with relevant partners,
· Develop standard operating procedures to ensure the quality of the social behavior change communication intervention
· Ensure performance indicators related to SBCC and related activities are met as per the program work plan
· Provide continuous technical assistance to relevant program staff and local implementing partners on evidence based SBCC intervention.
· Supervise, support, mentor and provide routine feedback to the SBCC staff. These includes setting MBOs and conducting performance appraisals
· Contribute to World Learning Ethiopia’s fundraising efforts that are related to health communication.
· Serve as a member of MULU/Worksite senior management team; and contribute to the achievement of project objectives,
· Liaise regularly with MULU/MARPs in the development of MULU visual treatment and any areas of collaboration with the sister program
· Represent MULU/Worksite on prevention technical working groups and task forces to support standardization and coordination of SBCC activities.
Requirements
Masters degree with 7 years relevant work experience, proven HIV behavioral prevention experience, work place HIV prevention program experience, training and facilitation skills, experience in leading teams, adherence to quality assurance SOPs, experience in communications and material development, innovative creative spirit with strong experience using evidence to inform program direction, willingness to travel to hard to reach areas, strong report writing skills.
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of computer (Microsoft Word, Power point, and Excel); proficiency in spoken and written English; ability to function in a team setting and in a high energy and fast paced environment.
Terms of Employment: One year with possible extension
