Requirement: Commercial Manager

The company today has 50,000 ha land on lease in Ethiopia for its agriculture project for production of a variety of food and commercial crops. The operations will include phase wise development of the land and managing the crop production to enhance cash flows in the short and medium term. Thereafter, over several phases undertake mass-farming activity.

B. Key Responsibilities
1. Implement the commercial systems at Addis as well as at the site of document flow from Indenting to usage of capital / Raw material and packing items including spares and consumables and timely procurement
2. Identify the local and overseas suppliers and vendors for various machineries and equipments, Agri-inputs such as seeds, chemicals and fertilizers;
3. Ensure the correctness of record keeping(Receipts and Issues) of all items;
4. Ensure that Stocks are kept properly and physical inventory is counted at a periodical intervals adopting appropriate methodology;
5. Processing of indents with Vendors / Suppliers across the globe for better pricing and terms;
6. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on the prices and terms;
7. Liaisoning with Shipping lines, Clearing agents, customs for clearance of goods / Export of goods;
8. Complete familiarization with document preparations for Import and Export;
9. Liaisoning with Banks / Customers for follow up payments, LC formalities and recoveries.
10. Will be responsible for Admin, Logistics and Purchases.
11. Experience in Project Management shall be an added advantage.

Should be an Engineer with Commercial background, preferably MBA.

MINIMUM 7 to 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
? Knowledge on SAP /ERP and well versed with Systems and Procedures
