Ethiopia: Training Programme Coordinator

The consultant will:
• Coordinate the development and strengthening of the curriculum for the Managing Peace and Security in Africa (MPSA) masters programme and ensure the training delivery is up to excellence. • Develop and implement "Change Agent" course for MPSA alumni as part expanding the Training programme and offerings. • Identify and resolve key policy issues in the training delivery. • Coordinate the process to acquire international accreditation for the MPSA masters programme by creating linkages with accrediting bodies and partnering universities. • Facilitate and further enhance the integration of blended learning approaches for the MPSA masters programme. • Coordinate the commercialization of APSP training products for programme sustainability by designing and implementing a marketing strategy. • Develop a concept for an annual summer school training programme and coordinate its implementation for 2012 and subsequent years. • Support the production of a reader on “APSP Approaches to Managing Peace and Security in Africa” by establishing reader structure and production system.

Further tasks and approaches will be agreed with the Program Director.

Qualification and experience:
• MA degree in political science or relevant discipline. •? Experience coordinating an Executive programme. • Fluent in both written and oral English language skills. • Project management experience. • Possesses a marketing background. • Excellent and demonstrable computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Advanced Excel etc) • Ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines.
