CARE Ethiopia invites application from interested and qualified individuals for the following position:

Position: Property Management Officer – DIII

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

This position is responsible to:

• Ensure property management as per CARE Ethiopia Property and Financial Manuals.

• Maintain a computerized inventory record of non-food store items, furniture, fittings, equipment etc.

• Maintain records of property register, receipts, transfers, disposals into PeopleSoft software and reconcile the property register with finance record on quarterly basis.

• Participate in the annual inventory of items and prepare a consolidated count report as well as reconcile with financial records for HO and FOs.

• Ensure that all documents presented for petty cash replenishment are pertinent and as per the organizations petty cash policy.

• Ensure that the necessary properties of CARE are insured locally and/or globally and insurance policies are renewed on time

Education, Experience and Competencies;

College diploma in Accounting/ Property Administration/ Management or in any relevant discipline.

3-5 years of previous experience in a similar field.

Strong organizational skills and attention to details.

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly and collaborate with all concerned CARE Staff.

Ability to act in a professional and ethical manner.

Good computer skills required. Knowledge of PeopleSoft software is desired.

Firm belief in teamwork and good understanding of issues related to gender equality, social equity and sensitivity to HIV/AIDS.
