Job Description

The overall objective of the job and basic reason for its existence in its present form is to ensure /and enhance the existing computing capability of the company i.e. ERP, in-house developed systems, Hardware and infrastructure are operational to the expected standard supporting the day to day computing requirement of the company. Some of the responsibilities would be:
- Administration and operation of broad range of network hardware and software connecting and supporting distributed computing environments of the company;
- Responsible for all network supports such as File & print servers, Exchange Server, Switches, Storage Devices, and other hardware and software related matters;
- Also responsible for IT application matters as per the company’s application distribution list;
- Ensure proper maintenance of source codes of critical in-house developed application systems including Coupon, Payroll, and Transport Systems with proper documentation;
- Conduct relevant study and formulate strategy for development and maintenance of NOC web site – The Site already developed and better to keep up maintenance;
- Adopt systems development methodology for developing, acquiring implementing and maintaining IT systems and related technology while ensuring the processes of identifying, specifying and approving requirements are fully addressed;
- Managing faults and problems with networks, personal computers, mail services through troubleshooting and escalating the problems as appropriate;
- Advise and alert new developments, products, technologies, virus attacks and suggest and disseminate appropriate measures;
- Assess users’ training needs on implemented and deployed ERP application systems for discharging duties effectively and devises relevant training program;
- Research, plan and implement security plans and policies pertaining to the operational IT system;
- Take charge of integrating security plans and policies with the Company’s business process;
- Assess system vulnerabilities and recommends security improvements;
- Keep abreast of the most up-to-date security trends and technologies;
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
