DESCRIPTION
CARE International in Ethiopia is a Humanitarian Organization working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing relief and multi-sectoral development projects. Our mission is to work with poor women and men, boys and girls, communities and institutions to have a significant impact on the underlying causes of poverty.
Currently CARE Ethiopia has over 500 regular staff working in five rural field offices (Awash, South Gondar, West Hararghie, East Hararghie, Yiregalem and Borana).
CARE Ethiopia has a number of humanitarian and long-term interventions which are currently benefiting millions of vulnerable and underserved communities in most parts of the nation. All of the program interventions go through a detailed monitoring and evaluation which need to be managed effectively to ensure program quality and to draw lesson learned from each program experience. It goes without saying that all monitoring and evaluation activities of CARE’s programs highly demand a well-trained and talented M&E person who manages the knowledge and learning aspects of the specific project.
CARE Ethiopia has established an Internship Program exclusively aimed at Female Fresh Graduates as part of its development work. The purpose of this program is to attract and support bright and qualified Female fresh university graduates interested in learning about development work and provide them with first hand experience on the challenges and approaches to fight and overcome poverty in Ethiopia. The internship will give female fresh graduates the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to CARE Ethiopia’s work. The program promotes female graduates by providing them with learning and growth opportunities and professional work experience, and prepares them for their future career prospects.
At the moment, CARE Ethiopia would like to host a female fresh graduate (as an intern) who is interested to work as Governance and Accountability Officer to be based in Addis Ababa for CARE Ethiopia’s WASH+ project.
