Challenge TB is USAID’s fourth five year mechanism contributing to the global targets of TB control and the follow on project of TB CARE I. In Ethiopia KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is the lead partner for Challenge TB. In Ethiopia Management Sciences for Health (MSH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are collaborating partners in the coalition. Challenge TB will operate from a central office in Addis Ababa and two regional offices, one in Tigray and one in SNNPR.
KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is recruiting the following positions for the Challenge TB program in Ethiopia.

Duty stations: Mekele (Tigray) or Hawasa (SNNPR) or Addis Ababa
The main responsibility of the TB advisor is to provide high level technical support to all aspect of TB control and TB/HIV services in the region building sustainable technical capacity for TB control at regional, zonal and woreda level to ensure patient centered

care and treatment. He/she works in very close collaboration with other USAID funded projects and other partners to harmonize activities.The TB advisor is part of the regional Challenge TB team.
Main responsibilities
• Advices TB control stakeholders at regional, zonal and woreda level in all areas of TB control (patient centered care, MDR-TB, TB/HIV, childhood TB, drugs management etc)
• Builds capacity of TB control staff through on the job training and coaching
• Participates in joined supportive supervision visits within the region Acts as a mentor for regional, zonal and woreda level TB officers
• Builds capacity of TB control staff through on the job training and coaching
• Participates in joined supportive supervision visits within the region
• Identifies bottlenecks in TB control in the region
• Identifies opportunities to improve TB control
• Develops and co-facilitates technical TB trainings
• Contributes to the development of guidelines and tools for regional TB control
• Enhances and anchors the in-depth knowledge of TB technical areas
• Implements the outlined project activities according to the annual work plan
• Plans, coordinates and checks the activities and deadlines of the projectassigned tasks
• Monitors the project performance according to the M&E plan
• Identifies areas for crosscutting collaboration with regional partners
• Actively shares knowledge with regional, zonal and woreda TB control staff
