PROJECT-E (www.project-e.eu) provides high-quality, market-oriented vocational education for young women from socially destitute backgrounds in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The program is unique in its approach and enjoys a high reputation for quality, professional volunteers and sustainability.
The first college was opened in 2009 and has seen 45 students graduate since. In order to assure the sustainability of our project an Income Generating strategy has been developed to make the project as independent of charity donations as possible. Additionally the department is in the process of being fully implemented into the local structures of our partner organization Selam.
Our next goal is to build a vocational training institute in the hospitality sector using the accumulated knowledge and the experience gained in the past few years. For this adventure we need you!
The work of volunteers at PROJECT-E is exceptionally challenging and diverse. Since it is a completely new project you will be able to actually shape its future and therefore have a huge impact on the continuity of PROJECT-E. We are looking for volunteers in the fields of education, public relations/fundraising and income generating activities.
PROJECT-E offers:
