As an International Christian Humanitarian Development organization, World Vision Ethiopia (WVE) is trusted to deliver integrated programs with target communities through its 68 Area Programs (APs) located in seven regional states of the country. WVE is a thriving organization where strong leadership at all levels results in improved delivery of results for children.
WVE is currently looking for candidates for it senior level Program Development and Quality Assurance Director role. The successful candidate will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
Ability to manage a complex program with the following major responsibilities: Leads in strengthening WVE’s technical programming work.Leads and manages the technical program department and the four technical teams under its supervision (Livelihoods/Resilience; Health/Nutrition; Education and Cross-cutting [advocacy, disabilities, gender, child protection]).
Oversees the Resource Development Department.Works with the National Director and other senior staff to position for and vet calls for proposals and ensures that proposals are well developed to the highest standards. Ensures proposal processes are well managed, that funding diversification goals are met and that funding aligns with the NO strategic plan.
Oversees all design, monitoring, evaluation and learning processes.Ensures documentation of impact of programs and creates an evidence base through the application of monitoring tools, sharing of best practices, promoting innovation and knowledge management.
Oversees the completion of the annual Child Wellbeing Report for WVE and ensure compliance with reporting that is required by the GoE and the World Vision Partnership.
National Office Strategy Development and management.Provides leadership in strategy formulation, implementation planning, execution and monitoring to ensure alignment with global WVI guidance, regional strategy and the context within Ethiopia.
Working in partnership with others.Engages externally and internally to build relationships with key stakeholders in the GoE, partner agencies, Support Offices, East Africa Regional Office, etc.
Coaches and mentors staff within the Program Development and Quality Assurance teams in setting personal development goals and providing ongoing support for professional development.
Coordinates and facilitates performance management and ensures a high performance culture among the Division’s staff ensuring staff engagement, accountability and responsibility.
