JOB SUMMARY :
Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises the raw material and supplies purchase as well as material storage, issuing and inventory control management activities of the Department. Ensures that the receiving, recording and issuing of materials are in compliance with established procedures and methods of operation. Compiles and submits stock status according to standing instructions and whenever requested. Oversees, the proper handling of raw material storage, transportation and delivery;
DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepares annual material requirements of the Company, using material management techniques and formula.


2. Directs the establishment of minimum-maximum stock levels; supervises the proper recording of all receipts and issues on stock cards and ensures the maintenance of exact, up to-date information on stock balances.


3.   Ensures the proper receiving, storage, issuances, delivery operations of stores and also the provision of adequate storage facilities, security, safety and fire or accident prevention.


4. Passes purchase requisitions to procurement unit on time with exact economic order quantities, specifications and other necessary information on those items whose stock balances have reached reorder levels.


5. Keeps accurate information on all reject products, old, absolute or unusable items and submits reports for necessary disposal action.


6. Controls supply requisitions against budgetary appropriations taking physical inventory of stores and reconciling the balances with financial records.


7. Prepares and submits staff performance appraisal reports.


8. Performs such other related activities as may be assigned by the Plant Manager.
