Job Summary:
The Project Officer under child early and forced marriage (CEFM) project is a key team member of International Medical Corps, and will oversee the overall day to day activities of the project interventions in Kobe refugee camp. The project officer will work under the direct supervision of the Dollo GBV program manager, The Project Officer will be based in Boqolmayo sub-office and will travel frequently to Kobe refugee camp to lead project activities for refugee adolescent girls. He/She Will supervise 1 community mobilizer, and refugee incentive worker. He/She will lead planning, implementation and monitoring of activities to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are met in a timely and effective manner. The approach of this project implementation is participatory, and will work with other team members and other International Medical Corps sectors to ensure that a positive team spirit is fostered for quality programming.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and monitor the overall implementation of child early and forced marriage project activities in Kobe refugee camp based on established indicators, including collating and analyzing data and information for reporting; Plan, implement and monitor the overall output: create a safe and supportive camp environment for adolescent girls; create girl friendly spaces and services for adolescent girls to increase their future economic prospects and opportunities; and increase safety/security and quality care Supervise and support the day to day project activities including assessments, dialogues with parents and girls, recreational activities, and community mobilisation efforts; Work closely with GBV response or case workers to ensure that adolescent girls who report incidents of GBV are referred and supported to access case management and psychosocial services; Provide on-going direct supervision to community mobilizer and refugee social workers including assisting in the development of individual work plans; Develop and monitor plans, including activity, procurement and spending – related to project activities; Ensure safe and ethical data collection and sharing of the project activities and information based on agreed procedures and protocols; Participate in regular International Medical Corps’ meetings to share information on the project achievements, challenges, gaps and find solutions to challenges and gaps; Ensure timely submission of activity reports on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and ensure proper filing; Work closely with the program manager to build capacity of social worker and community mobilizer to provide effectively implement their activities Actively participate in documentation of project success stories and compiling of quarterly and yearly reports;
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: COORDINATION/COLLABORATION
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders including ARRA, UNHCR , other partners and refugee leadership structure in Kobe refugee camp, Mobilize stakeholders to participate in WRC project activities and meetings; Collaborate with other International Medical Corps sectors and operations personnel to ensure that the project is properly supported and that all project-related operational activities are conducted according to International Medical Corps HR, Logistics, Finance and other policies and procedures; In collaboration with the GBV program manager, promote and represent the interests of the overall GBV program or WRC project with regards to all relevant stakeholders;

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Bachelor degree in sociology, Nursing or Public health with one year NGO experience
· Diploma health related field and 2 years experiences in NGO
· Experience in SGBV and Sexual reproductive health services.
· Experience in providing and facilitating of training
· Experience working with refugee communities.
· Previous experience living in a hardship environment;
· Fluency in English is required
