We have vacancy opportunity for an Logistics Officer, to be based at the Childfund International USA Africa Regional Office in Addis Ababa.
 
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for logistics & procurement needs, processing residence & work permits, Insurance policy renewal, ensuring the smooth flow of office vehicles, customs clearance and other logistic related issues.
 
Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensure that all Procurement & Logistics process comply with ChildFund standard policies


• Process customs clearance and cargo handling needs


• Manage the purchase and repair of organizational vehicles


• Manage the asset register and all office inventory requirements including office security needs


• Carry out regular inspection and maintenance of the organization premises

 
Qualifications/Experience

• At least five (5) years’ work experience as a logistics officer


• Highly organized and given to detail


• Strong problem-solving abilities


• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and demonstrate initiative


• Good computer skills


• Good written and spoken English


• Demonstrated team player


• 3^rd grade driving license

 
Education

• Diploma or degree in Logistics & Procurement
