Deputy Chief of Party, Ethiopia

Tetra Tech ARD, a leading US-based international development consulting firm, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont, is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for potential Deputy Chief of Party position for an upcoming USAID-funded water program in Ethiopia.

The Lowland Areas Water Development (LAWD) Project aims to accelerate the expansion of improved sustainable drinking water supply and sanitation access and improve hygiene behaviors while also expanding sustainable agricultural use of water in regions of Ethiopia with populations predominantly living in lowland areas vulnerable to drought and climate change.

Qualifications:

*Master’s degree in integrated water resources management, environmental sanitation, water development/management, natural resources management, or related field of study.

*At least five (5) years or more of progressively responsible managerial work experience implementing WASH and/or productive water use projects in the lowland areas of Ethiopia or in the Horn of Africa.

*At least five (5) years of professional work experience in water development activities; in particular WASH, natural resources management, multiple use water service in the lowland areas of Ethiopia.

*Experience in applying a participatory approach; working with the private sector and financial institutions on water development activities is an added advantage.
