Job Title                               Feed Business Manager

Reports to                           Feed General Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Reporting to the Feed GM, the Feed Business Manager is responsible for oversight and management of the Company’s feed mill operation, and is the highest ranking management member of the feed team at each mill location. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mill Operations

·         Ensure efficiency of feed mill to minimize waste and maximize profitability and labor utilization

·         Enforce quality controls and adherence to formula, texture, and packaging specifications

·         Ensure mill breakdowns are quickly repaired, and regular planned maintenance is conducted

·         Implement continuous quality monitoring and improvement systems

·         Receiving and inspection of feed raw material quality and quantities

·         Storage and handling of raw materials and finished goods

·         Maintenance of minimum finished goods inventory levels

 

Coordination and Control

·         Daily monitoring, analysis and reporting of raw material and inventory at the warehouse

·         Daily coordination with sales personnel and finance to maximize customer service

·         Dispatch and shipment of finished feed products to the specified delivery point

·         Provide all necessary on the job training to staff to ensure a safe workplace

·         Ensure storekeeper/accountant are able to smoothly document and control transactions

. Bachelor Degree in Animal Science, Nutrition, Food       Technology

·  Proactive and creative in solving problems real-time

· Ability to work independently without daily                     supervision

·  Team player, excellent coordination skills across            functions

· Good knowledge of grain procurement practices and   mechanical processes

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent in planning and time management skills

· Proven ability to manage and motivate labor
