Verde Beef Processing is a beef feedlot and processing company set near Ziway, Oromia, Ethiopia that produces premium quality beef. Our first phase of Verde Beef includes a 8,500 head feedlot and a 400 hectare corn farm.
We are seeking a Farm Equipment & Construction Manager who will be responsible for the maintenance & operations of the farming and construction equipment. Additionally, they will work with contractors and construction staff to oversee the creation of bull pens, storage sheds and other buildings. This is a great position for someone who grew up operating and fixing equipment on a farm who also has construction experience. You’ll have the opportunity to work as a part of an international staff team to build the newest and best feedlot and farming operation in Ethiopia.
Primary Responsibilities:
*Oversees the use, management & maintenance of all farming & feedlot equipment
*Manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function.
*Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime.
*Construction projects and maintenance of infrastructure is the full responsibility of this position.
Requirements:
*Based at feedlot
*Requires farming and / or feedlot equipment management experience
*Good judgment
*Proactive problem solver
*Project management especially construction projects.
One year position in Ethiopia with an opportunity for extension. All travel & housing paid. Competitive salary.
