Grants Agreement Specialist | ReliefWeb



Responsible for supporting FH’s grant program by focusing primarily on FH’s sub-agreements related to USG and non-USG grants. The Manager will be the primary role in developing and training the grants team and field offices on policies and procedures, as they relate to grant sub-award agreements.

Principal Responsibilities
● Responsible for the development, implementation, communication, and training of sub-award agreement management.
● Monitor risk associated with grant sub-awards and work with other units to mitigate the risks.
● Supports the creation and maintenance of sub-award templates, and supports the development of sub-award agreements including pre-award vetting processes.
● Maintains FH’s Sub-award Manual and creates training for field office, regional, and global staff on the management requirements of sub-awards.
● Continuously monitors changes in laws and regulations and helps facilitate and incorporate changes in FH policy and procedures as they relate to grant sub-award agreements.
● Collaborates with other units within the grants team to ensure compliance with regulations and grant requirements.
● Other duties as assigned.



Job Level Specifications
● Vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with FH’s Christian beliefs expressed in The Heartbeat.
● Demonstrated computer-operating skills, including proficiency in Google platforms, Microsoft Office products, and virtual technologies such as Skype and/or Zoom.
● Ability to sit/stand at a computer for up to 8 hours a day doing repetitive motions on a keyboard.
● Ability to travel up to 20% of time per year.



Experience
● At least 5+ years of business, grants, or contract management experience.
● Prior experience in a complex, matrixed organization, with the ability to scale processes in a global, professional, service organization.
● Knowledge of governmental regulations and legal concepts pertaining to grant agreements required.



Education/Certifications
● Bachelor's degree is a plus.



Language
Proficiency in spoken and written English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
