 Position: Regional Team Leader

EngenderHealth is currently looking for a well-qualified Regional Team Leader for our Dessie Office.


JOB SUMMARY:


The Regional Team Leader under the supervision of the Deputy Country Representative will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of EngenderHealth supported project/s particularly in the “Expansion of Comprehensive Contraceptive and other reproductive health services” and assures the successful implementation of project/s at Amhara region. Also, s/he is primarily accountable for meeting or exceeding agreed-upon deliverables/targets and quality standards; for providing technical support, managing and leading the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and reporting of all project activities in the region and ensures the effective utilization of resources; undertake regular facilitative supervision in collaboration with Regional/Zonal/Woreda health offices and other relevant bodies; conducts M&E activities for each project activities, regularly reviews and analyze collected data to identify strengths, weaknesses and gaps, and take timely corrective action required; ensures that regional project activities are implemented in accordance with government program and project agreement, donor requirement and EngenderHealth organizational principles and value; and ensure smooth running of systems and support to program staff concomitantly ensuring adherence to organizational policies, guidelines and procedures. In addition, s/he will also represent EngenderHealth in relevant regional forums and ensure the establishment of functioning partnership with all reverent stake holders in the respective regions. In coordination with the Deputy Country Representative, s/he ensures that Dessie field office has the necessary technical/professional, logistic, financial and other input for successful implementation of activities in accordance with the approved plans; is also responsible for personnel management of filed office staff including recruitment, performance enhancement, job satisfaction, taking disciplinary measures and retention; for management and implementation of all project funds in accordance with EngenderHealth Procedures (SOP) and the government requirement; preparing and submitting regular program and budget report to the country office; identifying with other technical staff and counterparts lessons learned and potential best practices, success stories related to RH/F and periodically update the Country Office.




REQUIREMENT:


  • First degree in Medicine or Public Health. Medical doctor with program management experience or Public health with clinical RH service provision experience.

  • Seven (7) years’ of experience in managing and coordinating FP/RH related programs preferable in NGO.

  • Experience with and understanding of the Regional, Zonal and Woreda level health system.

  • Travel up to 60% of the time and support other regions as needed.
