The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure of the Ethiopian branch of Pedon/Acos Group, in accordance with the company policies and guidelines. Will be responsible for the plant located in Adama and the office located in Addis Ababa. Will give end users support on the company clients and software.
Respond directly to the Ethiopian plant manager, while strictly following IT head quarter’s guidelines and policies.

- Guarantees the application of company policies and guidelines, following IT headquarter instructions. In contact with local users, suggests solutions to their needs and implements them in coordination with HQ.
- Give end users support on computer systems and software, tracking their requests.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
- Perform data backups and anti-virus checks and cleaning.
- Maintenance and administration of computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, fixed and mobile phones, and all configurations.
- Configure and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
- Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
- Monitor network and equipment performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
- Train people in computer system use.
- Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records.
- Manage the IT Budget, in coordination with the local plant manager and the HQ IT.
