GOAL is an Irish based international NGO with Programmes in Humanitarian Response and Rural and Urban Development. The Humanitarian Response Programme focuses on nutrition intervention activities, working with the ministry of Health to monitor the nutrition, health and food security status with its current intervention areas in Oromiya, Gambella, SNNPR, Afar and Amhara Regions. Our Rural and Urban Development Programme focuses on health, education, nutrition, water and sanitation with cross-cutting work in gender, child protection and HIV/AIDS. The Hawassa Urban Project works on objectives in HIV and vulnerable street living children and youth with two local partners. HIV activities focus on prevention among highly at risk populations in Hawassa town including commercial sex workers, university and school students and domestic workers. The Street Children programme which GOAL Ethiopia is working with partners focuses on the strengths of children and young people and through partnership building, collaboration and networking with various stake holders, the programme supports diverse community structures and initiative through approaches that are Street and Care focused.
GOAL is looking for dynamic and talented candidate to assign as a Trainee Logistics, Administration and Finance Officers for its emergency intervention programme throughout the country. The Trainee Logistics, Administration and Finance Officer will receive intensive training on the current organizational systems and polices and will be engaged into the overall management of the day to day financial, logistics and administration related matters of GOAL Community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) and/or refugee Field site.
BA/level IV graduates in Accounting, Management, Business administration, Purchasing and supplies management or related fields with 0-1 years’ experience for BA holders and 0-2 years’ experience for level IV graduates. Non- related fields with one year experience in accounting, logistics and administration areas Certificate/Diploma in basic computer–knowledge in Ms-office, Internet and email usage, Willingness to live and work in remote and rural areas, Knowledge of local language other than Amharic (Oromiffa, Sidamigna, etc) is advantageous, Good English communication skill, Willingness to work in humanitarian response programme Willingness and alert to learn and strive to develop capacity, Willingness to work under flexible work schedule including week ends, Ability to work in team, Sensitive to gender and child protection issues.
Remuneration and Benefits: GOAL pays Birr 4,530.00 on monthly bases (Four thousand five hundred thirty birr) which will be adjusted after six months if the recruited staff got full time employment and provides benefits like:
· Pension – (11% from employer and 7% from employee).
· Transportation Allowance, 10% of monthly salary
· Hardship Allowance, 30% – 50% (depending on the location) of monthly salary with full accommodation is provided in the office compound with a canteen.
