Vanguard Technologies (VT) is a very dynamic and fast growing private limited Company (PLC) engaged in import and sales, installation, rental and maintenance of big Machineries such as Construction Plants, Printing Machines, and weighing equipment; and it is currently on the process of transformation; doing its level best to expand its current operations and diversify its area of engagement in the near future. As part of this process, Vanguard is looking for vibrant, well-qualified and industrious applicants for the following position.
Position: Accountant
Job description:
- Maintains accounting records and prepares journal vouchers.
- Prepares payroll and related payables; and other payables such as taxes and pension contribution/provident fund (disbursement activities).
- Maintains and bank account records and reconciles bank statements.
- Conducts physical counting of goods in the store and reconciles it with book balance.
- Handles financial documents.
- Performs any other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Person specification:
- Degree/diploma in accounting with at least one/three years of relevant practical experience, respectively.
- Other relevant trainings such as Peachtree accounting.
- Good analytical skill with attention to details.
- Good computer skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirables:
- Degree/diploma from commercial college, AAU.
- Experience in industrial products merchandising/construction companies.
- Having a driving license is an asset.
Place of work: Addis Ababa
