PURPOSE OF THE JOB
· Coordinates the activities to meet the SHE standards
· Ensure that the Health, environmental and Safety are promoted and implemented in the plant, including the adherence to the country requirements.
· Ensure that all related KPIs related to SHE are meet.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
· Implement and maintain the Brewery SHE management system
· Ensure that all statutory requirements of Quality agencies are met
· Provide to the management the health, safety and environmental issues related to the business
· Formalize into procedures or notes, all relevant issues and hazards related to health, environmental and safety matters.
· Audit the plant for SHE issues on a regularly basis and report to the management .Follow up the corrective actions. Undertake the risk assessment and propose remedies.
· Co-ordinate and assist in the delivery of the Health, Safety Strategy, including the setting and monitoring of KPIs in line with that strategy.
· To develop effective working Health and Safety structures within all divisions, with clear allocation of responsibilities.
· Advise on new or existing safety legislation, approved codes of practice, guidance notes and government reports.
· Promote guidance, advice and understanding over compliance with eg Manual Handling, PPE, and DSE, Health and Hygiene standards and objectives across all business units.
· Conduct and monitor risk assessment across all areas of the business to ensure adherence to the required standard.
· Maintain and develop effective working relationships with managers, employees and staff representatives in all areas of the company so as to be able to identify and give attention to all areas of activities whilst also understanding which present the greatest risks.
· Implement and monitor a Workplace Inspection program across all sites. Implement corporate safety training policy and deliver internal training as applicable to the needs and requirements of the business.
· Produce and ensure effective arrangements for the collation of information on accidents, incidents and near misses and deploy appropriate procedures for the internal investigation of these which will bear examination from external sources if required. This includes formulating corrective action to reduce the risk of re-occurrence
· Manage potential accident claims and liaise with the insurance company.
· Set and achieve budget for Health, Safety and Environment.

Qualification:
- BSc in Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering or equivalent field.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position in a Brewery, Food and/or Beverage industry.
