6 month contract farm manager – Tropical fruit / Citrus – Ethiopia

One of our key clients has recently requested our assistance in finding them a contract farm manager for the duration of 6 months, to be working on a tropical fruit farm.

Our client is a very well-established operation in the region, and are looking for someone with a background in managing an established fruit farm.

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to have overall responsibility for the plantations operations including operational, financial and staff management, including:

·         Build and lead a team of agronomist, area managers, and other employees

·         Increase production and output.

·         Budget control of plantation.

Requirements

·         Must have 15 years of relevant work experience

·         Must have regional experience in Africa

·         Experience in tropical fruit or citrus growing

·         Must have experience managing multi-cultural teams

·         Knowledge of the Fair-trade standard preferred.

·         Excellent English
