The Operations Manager is accountable for all operational activities relating to an exploration program which is typically at Target Testing or Delineation Phase of the exploration pipeline.
Operational activities will include planning, scheduling and execution to ensure effective delivery of the technical work program. Activities will typically include camp and fleet management, contractor management, communications and logistics.
Leadership of safe, enviromentally sound field based operation.
Develop positive working relationships with local authorities and communities.
Supervision of geologists, both expatriate and national.
Regular reporting
Maintain proffesional relationships with a range of contractors
Requirements:
* Degree in Geology or mining
* 10 years exploration experience
* At least 3 years managing a
significant resource definition
drilling programme
* Proven technical and managerial
abilities
* Project planning and execution
* Formulating plans and execution
* Analytical
Package negotiable. 4weeks on 4 weeks off rotation.
