The Population Council is an international, nonprofit, and nongovernmental organization established in 1952 to address population and development issues in developing countries. Population Council conducts research worldwide to improve policies, programs, and products in three main areas: HIV and AIDS; poverty, gender, and youth; and reproductive health.
The Population Council is planning to conduct a Formative Research study on HIV Care and Support Continuum in the selected regions of Oromia, Tigray, Gambella and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and invites qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Data Collector/Interviewer in Oromia Region
Job Requirements:
Knowledge, ability and skill requirements:Verbal and written communication skills in Oromiffa & Amharic;Demonstration of effective interpersonal communication skills;Flexible, reliable, and culturally sensitive.Proactive, initiative seeker and be able to work under minimal supervision.Able to walk long distances in the field.Qualification: Degree in Public health or related social science field from a recognized University
Work experience: Relevant work experience in data collection, including administration of both quantitative and qualitative instruments. Previous work experience with similar international NGOs, including the Population Council is strongly preferred.
