Christian Horizons Ethiopia (CHE) (www.chethiopia.org) is an International Non Government Organization (NGO) operating in Ethiopia since 1992 and is primarily funded by CH Global (www.chglobal.org) of Canada. CHE is involved in poverty reduction programs by reaching out to children at risk, persons with disabilities and marginalized communities through services care for children, education, income projects, and leadership development programs. CHE wants to hire qualified professional in the following vacant position.
Position: Accountant
Major Duties and responsibilities:
• Coding and verifying transactions before data entry
• Handle financial transactions coding, summery preparation and entry to the system whereby produce reports
• Data entry and producing summery sheet
• Producing report by cost center and as required by work units
• Producing data analysis sheet per the request of immediate supervisor
• Maintain records and document properly
• And perform other related duties as required and requested by immediate supervisor
Required Qualification and Work Experience
• BA degree in Accounting and at least one year related work experience
• Knowledge Of Peachtree Accounting
• Experience in data entry
• Working in NGO is advantageous
Desired Skills/Knowledge/Quality
• Good skills in computer applications
• Ability to work with staff of different department
• Problem solving
