A qualified MD with 5+ years of work experience as Opthalmologist would fit the role.
The position is required to:

i. Provide leadership of the eye clinic team in the Hospital, and ensure the provision of effective and efficient ophthalmological and eye care services in the Zoba.

ii. Promote primary eye care provision in the region, including the training and capacity building of general health workers

iii. Where requested, assist with the capacity development of Eritrean ophthalmologists, ophthalmic officers and other eye care staff

iv. Provide ophthalmological services in other regions where requested

v. Provide eye related public health services in liaison with relevant divisions of the Ministry of Health, other relevant government departments and non-government agencies.
