Purpose of Employee: The purpose of the Draftsperson shall be the drawing and detailing of structures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Structural detailing with due consideration of relevant codes and concepts Structural detailing and drawing of structural works with due consideration of construction sequence, relevant construction methods and construction products Supporting structural design team through structural detailing Calculating Bill of Quantities and preparing Specifications Taking measurements on site as deemed required. Working closely with project leaders for accomplishment of tasks
Qualification and Profile:
A minimum of Diploma in drafting or related field and one year of relevant experience or TVET Certificate and At least 2 years of relevant experience. Well versed in the use of MS Office, MS Windows, the internet (for browsing and e-mails), and one drafting software like AutoCAD or BIM like Revit Familiarity with sound construction and structural detailing practices Ability to think critically and to provide excellent quality drawings that are practical Very good command of the English language (speaking, writing and reading) Some knowledge of the German language is preferred, but is not mandatory
