Participates in all direct sales activities, works jointly with the entire Sales & Marketing Team with the primary objective to increase incoming government segment revenue to the hotel especially in rooms and banquet sector and also other hotel areas. The Sales Specialist is assigned to primarily work on accounts assigned to him/her within the local Government market by generating new business, by turning Key Prospect Accounts into Key Accounts and by maintaining existing accounts.
EDUCATION: Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Diploma/Degree in Marketing or Diploma/Degree in Business Administration.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years experience in Sales & Marketing related work.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Excellent Working Knowledge of English language and A grade in English in Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESLCE) are required. Other language ability will be advantageous.LICENSES/CERTIFICATES: 2nd grade driving license and a car required.
GROOMING: The individual must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Good computer skills in the Microsoft Office Environment.
- Excellent knowledge of the products and services provided by the hotel, guest contact skills
- Work with minimum supervision and handle multiple assignments.
- Prepare sales call schedules.
