GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of development, resiliency and humanitarian responses – working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders. Currently GOAL Ethiopia’s major funders are USAID/OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid/MAPS, Irish Aid/EHAF, UNOCHA.GOAL currently work in over 25 woredas across four Regions of Ethiopia and we deliver a range of programs induding child protection, development, nutrition, emergency relief and rehabilitation. In 2005 GOAL, in partnership with USAID/OFDA, established the Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) to respond So emergency nutrition situations in Ethiopia. This programme has grown substantially over the years, and is now multi-donor and multi-sectorial, with interventions throughout Ethiopia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced worker to fill the post of Trainee Logistics, Administration and Finance Officer for its Humanitarian Response Programme throughout the country to be intensively training on the current organizational systems and polices.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll be an experienced humanitarian worker. You will receive a full training package and will be engaged in to the overall management of the day to day Financial, Logistics and Administration related matters of GOAL Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) and/or refugee field site.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/level IV graduates in Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Purchasing and Supplies Management or related fields with 0-1 years’ experience for BA holders and 0-2 years’ experience for level IV graduates.
- Non — related fields with one year experience in Accounting, Logistics and Administration area
- Certificate/ Diploma in basic computer — Knowledge in Ms — Office, Internet and Email usage
- Willingness to live and work in remote and rural areas,
- Knowledge of local language other than Amharic (Oromiffa, Sidamigna ,etc ) is advantages
- Good English communication skill,
- Willingness to work in Humanitarian Response Programme
- Willingness and alert to learn and strive to develop capacity
- Willingness to work under flexible work schedule including weekends,
- Ability to work in team,
- Eligible to work in Ethiopia
- Sensitive to cross- citing issues like Gender Child protection, HIV/AIDS & Accountability
Salary: Birr 4,530.00/month
Transportation Allowance – 10% of monthly salary
Hardship Allowance — 30% – 50% (depending on the location) of monthly salary with full accommodation is provided in the office compound with a canteen.
Pension — 11 % from the employer and 7 % from the employee
Based on the need, availability of budget and individual performance the apprenticeship may be extend to full time employment after 6 month with a salary of birr other benefits.
