Job Description

As Program Management Specialist for Humanitarian Emergency Assistance (HEA) you'll manage a portfolio of US government (USG) and private, non-sponsorship funded projects to ensure proper implementation, reporting, and provide direct interface with WV National Offices and stakeholders within WVUS and the WV Partnership. Provide specialized assistance to the HEA team to meet project and program objectives, improve business processes, and meet client expectations. Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
Responsibilities include:
Manage a portfolio of large USG humanitarian grants and/or private non-sponsorship, (approximately 70% effort):
* Provide project management oversight to public (OFDA and PRM) and/or private non-sponsorship projects in start-up, implementation, and close-out.
* Liaise with USG and internal fundraising team representatives regarding donor expectations and work with the implementing field teams regarding project implementation and reporting.
* Ensure that the reporting and evaluation process for the performance management of programs is developed and implemented.
* Communicate project outcomes to stakeholders
* Ensure timely and effective support to all HEA grants in portfolio through the provision of advice in areas of compliance, financial management, and overall project implementation, including the sourcing of technical assistance, as necessary.
* Ensure all involved staff have copies of approved program design and understand donor regulations, reporting and other requirements.
* When appropriate, facilitate start-up workshop and provide any required training (e.g., donor requirements).
* Serve as the primary point of contact on specific grants for external interface (donor, USG, other NGOs) and internally (WVUS divisions and departments; WV Global Center, and other interested SOs) as well as manage the reporting, planning, and documentation of lessons learned on behalf of WVUS.
* Conduct field visits to assist the office, ensuring communication and coordination with the Country Program Manager.
Program/Project Support Functions, (approximately 30% effort):
* Assist Senior Director and Operations Director in preparation for high-level meetings, position papers and proposal.
* Provide administrative support and assistance to team members as needed including, but not limited to organizing meetings, conference calls, interfacing with WV databases, filing, formatting, etc.
* Provide assistance to other team members in the development and maintenance of larger more complex USG projects.
* Participate in the proposal development team by assisting in the writing, copy-editing, formatting, researching, and compiling of proposal documents.
* Backstop team members on all funding-related issues, including but not limited to the following: grant proposal writing, reporting, and organizing stakeholders.
* Serve as primary point of contact and backstop team members while they are absent from office and as needed in order to ensure continuity of service supporting team in their interaction with partnership offices as well as public and private donors.
* Perform research and support the packaging of information to create reports for internal and external audiences, including donors, the field and government agencies. Utilize and manipulate databases to access documentation.
* Participate in the orientation, training, and/or hosting of visitors, new employees, and temporary staff on behalf of department.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
* Attend and participate in the leadership of daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
Required Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Minimum of three years relevant work experience, or Master's degree in international development or related and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience. Multicultural experience and fluency in a second language are valued.

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Director, the incumbent:
Drives the Regional Director, UN officials, senior staff, high ranking officials and visitors. Ensures provision of reliable and safe driving services. Meets senior staff, officials and visitors at the airport and assists, where necessary, with visa and customs formalities
Ensures cost-savings through proper use of vehicle and accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports.
Ensures proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, checking of tires, brakes and water levels, car washing, etc in order to keep the vehicle clean and in good running condition at all times.
Ensures availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, vehicle logs, office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle; keeps track of insurance and other tax formalities.
When necessary, provides translation of basic information from the local language into the official language for the head of the office and/or United Nations staff in the vehicle.
Assists office staff in filing, photocopying and maintaining stores as required. Assists in the mailing and distribution of newsletters and publications and arranges to pay office telephone and other bills, as required.
Carries out any other related activities that may be required.

Qualifications required
Education:
Complete secondary education with a diploma OR complete equivalent technical studies with a diploma OR obligatory formal schooling plus two years of apprenticeship in the field of the post.

Experience:

At least one year of experience in the field of the post preferably in an international organization, embassy, or within the UN system with a safe driving record.

Languages:

Knowledge of one official language of the Union (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish) at an intermediate level. Knowledge of the local language, which is not an official language, at advanced level.

Competencies:

* Valid driver's license for bus and /or chauffeur free of driving violations.

* Good knowledge of the city, local roads and conditions where the office is located.

Consultancy specialising in transmission and distribution (T&D) seeks Electrical Engineering Consultant to manage a number of high voltage (HV) projects in Nigeria and Ethiopia.

You must have experience in the project management of substation construction (132kV - 400kV) and electricity distribution (11kV - 33kV) works, in the UK and overseas. You will be responsible for controlling the financial aspects of the project, management of sub-contractors, liaison with government bodies, overseeing installation, testing and commissioning activities, preparation of reports, reviewing and commenting on designs and assisting in the preparation of tender documents.

A degree or HNC in electrical engineering (or equivalent) is required.
