Project Geologist - Ethiopia

Allana Potash Corp is a Canadian potash company focusing on the exploration and development of a previously explored Dallol potash property in the Danakil Depression, Ethiopia.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The company is looking for Project Geologist(s) to help with its ongoing exploration program. The position(s) require a high degree of motivation and initiative, good communication skills and will require the candidate to be fluent in English.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervising drilling programs, logging core, collating data and interpreting drilling results.
2. Regional work including surface sampling, and supervision of geophysical survey work.
3. Must be able to meet realistic deadlines and ensures the completion of activity reports in specified timeframes.
4. Maintains appropriate liaison with other personnel and external contractors, suppliers, property owners and their agents, exploration personnel from consulting groups, other companies, and local government personnel.
5. Other such duties as may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- B.Sc. degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
- 1+ year post-graduate practical experience (preferred but full training will be given).
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and GIS software preferably MapInfo

Location: Dallol Potash Project, Afar Region

Duration: 1 Year Renewable Contract
